Welcome Lisa

Filed under: New Products — admin at 3:36 pm on Monday, September 8, 2008

Hello all,

After a long period of being MIA I am writing one last post to let you know that Cream of the Crop has a new home. The lovely Lisa from Q’ld is taking over the business and I know that you will enjoy the different product range that she is offering and will also enjoy getting to know her. The good news is that she is also restarting the Crop Kit program so that you will again be able to access great co-ordinated supplies that help you get your layouts done fast!

Once again, thank you all for your support over the last few years.

Cheers,

Elizabeth ;-)

Your Feb kits should be arriving by now - most of them were posted last Friday with a couple going on Monday night. Layouts will be up in the next day or two. Lovely beachy colours of sand and sea but lots of other uses too.

Christmas Layouts

Filed under: Layouts, Crop Kits — admin at 3:36 pm on Tuesday, January 29, 2008

I have finally got around to completing and scanning a couple of layouts which have been patiently waiting here for me. I really like the 2 Turtle Doves….it is a gorgeous photo of the boys. The chipboard doves were inked with an inkpad and then glitter was applied to the wings. I have used 3 of the large crystal brads to finish off the end of the felt fusion as there wan’t enough left to go all the way across. These layouts use materials from the December Crop Kit.

I’m Home!

Filed under: General, Chat — admin at 1:58 pm on Saturday, January 26, 2008

Wonderful, wonderful home! After a month away, it was just lovely to pull up in the driveway and walk inside to all my familiar things - including the odd pile of rubbish, the daggy stuff and the big stain in the corner of the stairs….. they are all mine and I embrace them :-)

So much happened during the holidays and as I get some photos organized I will be able to share some of the highlights and hopefully some layouts.

For those of you who have placed orders since Christmas, I will be attending to those tomorrow. Top priority!

Meet Gryff - The Golden Retriever

Filed under: Chat — admin at 5:29 pm on Tuesday, December 25, 2007

This is our new family member who arrived in a blaze of glory on the morning of Christmas Eve - I couldn’t wait for Christmas Day!

Gryff emailGryff outside

Gryff (because he is brave, loyal and true like a Gryffindor) is a Golden Retriever. He has settled in very well, but is going back to his doggy family for another few weeks while we are away. No doubt he will look very different when we return from holidays. He is very calm but quite friendly, an excellent combination I think and he has the sweetest face. The cats are very ho hum about the whole thing and Fletcher is very curious but not entirely thrilled - as you can well imagine. No doubt it will all sort itself out when everyone is again in permanent residence.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas Day.

December Kit - Figgy Pudding

Only one layout finished so far… but it is a double!

It’s hard to believe just how grown up my big boy looks. These Figgy Pudding papers are versatile enough to be with non-Christmassy photos. Picking up the brown and blue rather than the red and green is a good way to do this. The big photo corner is snipped from a Heidi Swapp frame.

Christmas Closing

Filed under: General, Crop Kits, Chat — admin at 9:16 am on Saturday, December 22, 2007

Cream of the Crop will be “closed” from Monday 24th December through to Saturday 26th January - yes a whole month! The website will be functioning as usual and you will be able to place orders, but nothing will be processed until the 26th Jan. There will be no Crop Kit in January, but subscriptions will also be processed as usual for February.

Christmas Cards - Making Memories Deck the Halls

Filed under: Layouts, General — admin at 6:55 pm on Friday, November 30, 2007

I had a busy afternoon trying to catch up on card making for our class enterprise at school. The kids and I are soooooo sick of making up the same 4 designs to fill all our orders but I finally made up the last 2 dozen this afternoon. Phew! All that production line stuff must have spurred my creative side though, as I immediately wanted to make something just because…..using whatever I wanted….. and not following a plan. I’d seen the poinsettias made up using the Scribble This stamp from Stampin’ Up and had thought I would like to have a go at putting one together. I was amazed at how quickly the cards came together using a sheet of lovely Deck the Hall papers from Making Memories and a Doodlebug gem.
